Insightful Choices

About Nancy

Welcome. I have devoted my career to helping individuals, couples, families, and organizations learn, grow, and move forward towards accomplishing their goals. I truly love the work that I do and care very much about all my clients. As a licensed therapist with many years of experience, I have the deepest respect for every client’s journey, their needs, goals and overall well-being

I believe that people are often at a crossroads, a transition and ready for that next step. They know that something needs to change. At these times, they may choose a guide, a coach, a consultant or a therapist to help them on this journey of self-discovery, change and growth.

I provide my clients with highly confidential and personalized assistance in a comfortable, non-judgmental environment. My style is one of active collaboration providing support, guidance, and information to assist you, my client, in moving forward. We collaboratively address the issues, patterns, and behaviors that keep you from experiencing more of the peace, happiness, and satisfaction you want and deserve. I help my clients figure out how to make positive changes and overcome obstacles.

Based on every client's unique needs, an assessment of the issues and goals, I use an appropriate and eclectic strategy that could utilize CBT-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EFT-Emotionally Focused Therapy, ACT-Acceptance & Commitment Therapy –whatever treatment modality would work best to support you achieving your individual, relationship, life, and career goals.

I am committed to and care about each of my clients. Because I believe that therapy is beneficial to most people, I am committed to keeping my fees reasonable.

My background, experience, education, and licensing credentials enable me to provide a unique perspective to my clients. I have been a practicing therapist for many years after receiving my license as a mental health counselor first in New York and then in Florida. I am a former faculty member for Bay State Junior College in Massachusetts, and former adjunct professor at The New School, SUNY Purchase in New York and New York University, where I earned my Master’s in Counseling Psychology. I currently teach at Westchester Community College, SUNY. Also, I am a certified collaborative divorce coach through the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals and a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA).

An outplacement consultant and career coach as well as a Human Resources executive and consultant, I have directed HR functions and provided services to large and small organizations, both for-profit and not-for-profit (executive coaching, career coaching, and recruiting (recruited for hundreds of positions at all levels and functions), conflict resolution, employee relations, and training.
