I have devoted my career to helping individuals, couples, families and organizations learn, grow, and move forward towards accomplishing their goals. I truly love the work that I do.
My belief is that people (and organizations) are often at a crossroad, a transition, and ready for that next step. They know that something needs to change. At these times, they may choose a guide, a coach, a consultant or a therapist to help them on this journey of self-discovery, change and growth.
As a therapist, coach and consultant with many years of experience, I have the deepest respect for every client’s journey, their needs, goals and overall well-being.
I am committed to helping my clients gain insight, tools and strategies for making the changes that they want in their lives, relationships and careers. My clients become better able to cope with situations, feel better about themselves and their decisions, make behavioral changes, and take actions to get “unstuck”.
My background, experience, education, and licensing credentials enable me to provide a unique perspective to my clients. I have been a practicing therapist for many years after receiving my license as a mental health counselor first in New York and then in Florida. I am a former faculty member for Bay State Junior College in Massachusetts, and former adjunct professor at The New School, SUNY Purchase in New York and New York University, where I earned my Master’s in Counseling Psychology. In addition to my training and education as a therapist, I am a certified collaborative divorce coach through the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.
My work with couples and individuals includes knowledge, training and experience using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and other modalities.
My career has also included managing and consulting in the field of Human Resources for large and small firms in diverse industries, executive coaching, career coaching and outplacement. In that capacity I have used my knowledge of organizational change, conflict resolution, employee relations, training, coaching and hiring the right talent to improve organizational climate, engagement and individual effectiveness and success. I established 4 human resources functions for companies, began my career at Chase and have worked for or consulted to companies in most industries including biotech, healthcare, technology, education, non-profits and financial services.
Clients say that in our collaboration and work together they have seen new possibilities, gained new insights, tools and strategies that enabled them to move forward in this next stage of growth.
